Frederick graduated from Auckland University in 1973 and joined Barrie Russell in Napier after a brief time in Otago. I cherish the Hawkes Bay environment having participated in many sports outdoor pursuits including active involvement with Westshore Surf Lifesaving Club for 21 years with my 3 children. He has enjoyed the many outdoor pursuits and relaxed lifestyle Hawke’s Bay has to offer for the last 7 years.
Prosthetic or artificial eyes have been manufactured at this practice for more than 40 years. During this time she has retained a complete passion and enthusiasm for the ever changing face of modern optometry. She enjoyed working for us so much that when the opportunity came up to return she was delighted!. Such a fantastic place to work, great people who like to give great service . New to the optometry industry, she joins Kerry on the Reception desk and provides assistance with frame selection in our Showroom.
Originally from Wellington, Maria joins Frederick Swain Optometrists as the Dispensing Technician, bringing with her 31 years of experience in the optometry industry.
