It was designed taking stylish theories on design of learning studios into account and created classrooms, that children's school results tell us, have stimulated highest learning opportunities. A team approach to design and planning challenges on all project types undertaken ensures the best result for our clients. When the planning for the project began, the school was definite that while the S68 design of school had been built when the style of schooling was very much about putting a teacher in a box with 20 to 30 kids and a piece of chalk, modern learning styles demand more supple spaces and are also heavy in their use of technology. Studio Director, Tim Judd worked with both the building’s owner and Pronto Print to rationalism, increase and wrap the existing structures to suit the specific requirements of the copying and printing operation including all interior planning and design.
The 100 Block at Havelock North High School is an S68 plan which was the normal design for Fresh Zealand secondary schools opened between 1971 and 1979. The fresh unused learning spaces designed to yield teachers and students with more flexibility to divide classes into smaller busy group s. We were very sympathetic to these factors and created a fresh form to the building, which worked to enable external, as healthy as inner learning spaces. In relocating to a distinguished location, Doug an Larkworthy Team Architects formerly Judd Doug an Team Architects needed a modern building that sat comfortably on the edge of Napier’s Art Dec heritage district. It was an unusual short where the building had to cater in a lavish way for the estate managers on the ground floor and guests from the homestead on the beginning floor.
This presented a challenging task in trying to fit a commercial office intricate into a set of buildings purpose built in the 1940s for photography processing. The burst out-and-out door spaces will offer students homey areas to socialism and to work collaboratively on learning tasks. The project was triumphant and the practice is currently working on a two townhouse project for the equivalent clients in conjunction with two excess parties.
We were very lenient to these factors and created a fresh form to the building, which worked to enable external, as well as inside learning spaces. The '100 Block' will be solely renovated and the fresh learning spaces have been designed to urge a range of learning experiences including collaboration with others, application of fresh concepts, creation of fresh knowledge and teacher delivery. The modern colorful effective learning spaces at Havelock North Intermediate are whole and the students are enjoying the new facility. Visually all relates well to the existing Church building creating a coherent interesting and inviting composition.
