We have safely transported approximately 15,00 patients throughout the North and South Islands of New Zealand. With its high speed and diverse twin engine capabilities it is ideal for rapid response to critically ill and injured patients. HFZ is also fully certified for air ambulance operation and made available as an aeromedical back up rescue helicopter for services throughout New Zealand. Skyline Aviation and New Zealand Air Ambulance Service were the first companies in New Zealand to be accredited to all 3 standards required to meet the highest possible accreditation called for by the majority of New Zealand Government agencies.
Ambulance and Paramedical Service Standard NZS Ambulance New Zealand Air Rescue Air Ambulance Standards V Telarc audited ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems. In addition, Skyline Aviation holds New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority Air Operators Certification Part 135 and Part 125 Domestic and International Operations approvals Part 145 Engineering Maintenance Organization approval. Our fleet of aircraft are all maintained to the highest aviation maintenance requirements as set down by the NZ Civil Aviation Authority. All Skyline Aviation pilots meet the highest industry standard in New Zealand.
All of our pilots are trained to the highest industry standards and are required to undergo rigorous ongoing competency and proficiency checks. We have a very professional team of pilots and support staff here at Skyline and it is a pleasure to be part of such a dedicated operation which includes input from our major client, the Hawkes Bay DHB flight team. Charlie and his wife are loving being back in the sunny Hawkes Bay and both really enjoy being part of the Skyline family. Sam started his aviation career in North Canterbury New Zealand with the Young Eagles program.
Sam enjoys working with people of all ages, he has worked with the St Johns Ambulance for over eight years, NZ Search Rescue, Youth at Risk worker, Children's programs and of course over ten years of flying. On completing his Commercial Helicopter licence he moved back to Gisborne and has flown a variety of helicopter types in agricultural spraying and fertilizer application and commercial lifting work, firefighting, scenic flights roles in the Gisborne area. He previously worked as the Eastland Rescue Helicopter base manager pilot and has been with the Hawke’s Bay Helicopter Rescue Trust for two years flying the twin engine BK117 B2. Our fleet are fully equipped with certified lifeport systems so safely transport patients through out New Zealand. The King Air B200 is equipped with two Lifeport Stretcher systems capable of flying two intensive care patients non stop to any destination in New Zealand and the Chatham Islands.
Again a single stretcher is provided for, together with the capability to carry a full clinical team or up to five seated passengers in charter configuration.
