What you should know about Takaro Trails
The balance of costs are payable one month prior to departure or immediately on confirmation for bookings made inside one month. The easiest payment option is to use a credit card to pay via the secure ANZ eGate payment gateway found on our website. If you amend your booking after full payment has been made, but prior to 30 days before departure a fee of 50 of the tour cost will apply. 00 per adult and we can arrange this for you at the time of booking.
All particpants are required to adhere to New Zealand road rules at all times during their Takaro Trails holiday. We will only provide your personal information to other parties if it is necessary to do so to complete the transaction or if we are required by law to do so. For example, things like receiving and processing your credit card payments and arranging accommodation and activity reservations, or the delivery of goods, will require us to pass on your personal information. When Jenny Ryan decide to put her extensive travel and tourism experience to good use it wasn’t difficult for her to decide on the focus of her new business. With a passion for the outdoors and the increasing popularity of cycling as a fun and healthy holiday option Jenny established T karo Trails to provide quality cycle tours for visitors to Hawke’s Bay. You should be training at least 2 or 3 days per week prior to your tour and have good cycle confidence to enjoy these tours.

Cost includes Bike, pannier helmet hire, water bottle, route instructions succeed map, wine pick up service and return transport from Napier or Hastings i site or accommodation. While my husband toured the area in vintage cars, a scanty friends and I enjoyed our bike ride with Jenny of Takaro Trails. A group of us hired bikes with Takaro Trails to ride one of their many Hawks’s Bay wine follow options. Lunch time visits to the Mission Estate and Church Rd Wineries then set you up perfectly for an easy afternoon cycling the stop banks of the Tutaekuri River as you navigate your way around the Puketapu Loop, a favorite succeed with locals and visitors alike. We were picked up from our accommodation each morning, taken to the start of our ride, picked up at the final of our ride and taken home, and all at a very modest cost.
The last piece of your ride takes you around the Ahuriri Estuary Wildlife Reserve back to Ahuriri ending a really diverse and laughter day sampling some of the superior highlights of our region. A final wine tasting at Clearview Estate ends your day our earlier your return transfer to your accommodation. Enjoy visits to the desirable wineries of Te Awanga prior your afternoon transfer to The Farm at Cape Kidnappers Lodge where Ore dinner drinks, an la Harte dinner and extravagant accommodation awaits.
